- FOR PATCH INSTALLATION: Preheat iron for 5 minutes (no steam) on cotton setting. Place the patch on your item, then place a t-shirt or thin tea towel over the patch. Using the iron, apply firm, even pressure on the patch for about 30 seconds. Keep the iron moving to avoid burning the fabric. Turn your item inside out and iron the back of the patch for about 30 seconds. Check adhesion. If needed, repeat steps and reapply heat for a few more seconds. Let the patch and item cool for a few minutes.
